Yorkshire Dales Braced for Influx of Visitors this Summer

At Long Ashes Park, we’re already starting to see a change in the general feeling of the public, we’re all feeling a little more optimistic about the summer and as a result, now is the perfect time to start making holiday plans. Because international travel is still uncertain and may be one of the last things to hang on to before we return to total normality, the idea of stay at home holidays or staycations are becoming more attractive.

At Long Ashes Park we have a number of beautiful staycation options, from a stay at The Gamekeeper’s Inn, our traditional Yorkshire Dales pub, or a visit to our holiday park accommodation, perfect for families and groups to come and enjoy the stunning Yorkshire Dales this summer. On site, you’ll also be able to enjoy our fantastic facilities, including our Long Ashes Leisure Club, Long Ashes Pure Spa and our onsite Hair Salon, as let’s face it, we’ve all missed having our hair done over the lockdown period!

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the recent surge in bookings at our site is being reflected across the Yorkshire Dales area, suggesting that there will indeed be a huge boost in tourism across the area, which is excellent news for other local businesses in the hospitality and tourism sectors too!

The Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive, James Manson has said:

“Hospitality is certainly seeing a surge in bookings for the summer months, especially as opportunities for overseas breaks in the foreseeable future are currently uncertain. Yorkshire has much to offer and could be referred to as being a country within a county, its vastness includes vibrant cities, a spectacular coastline, stunning countryside, tempting towns, amazing arts, fabulous food and delicious drink, as well as a wealth of history and heritage.

Furthermore:

"When lockdown lifts and if Government guidance allows, the thirst for staycations will be welcomed to kick-start the tourism and hospitality industry once more and encourage visits to attractions and locations, providing what will be a much-needed financial boost to this struggling sector in what will be critical and challenging times ahead.”

With bookings being taken for the summer period, now is the time to book and secure your perfect summer staycation in the Yorkshire Dales, visit our website to book now!
