Discover La Bella Vista, our beautiful sister site in the sunny Costa del Sol
Whether you’re craving fantastic countryside, incredible views or gorgeous sleepy villages we’ve got you covered both here and across the channel with our sister site La Bella Vista!
Set in a stunning beach-front location on Spain’s beautiful Costa del Sol, La Bella Vista is the perfect holiday retreat. Surrounded by golden sands, turquoise water and with a glorious Mediterranean climate there’s so much to see and do in the local area. The campsite is situated close by to the village of Manilva - a charming combination of whitewashed peaceful village and seaside resort - ensuring you’ll be immersed in Spanish culture as soon as you arrive!
A short 20 minute drive takes you to the pretty harbour town of Estepona, which unlike many of its coastal neighbours, retains an strong cultural tradition. With more than 12 miles of palm-fringed coastline and a historic old town famously decorated with bright blooms, it's undoubtedly one of the prettiest on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
If you'd like to visit somewhere a little more peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, head for the hills where the village of Cesares clings to its rocky outcrop. Located between Manilva and Estepona it has been described as one of the most idyllic places in Andalucia and the iconic and centuries-old whitewashed houses sit on the steep hillside, drawing thousands of photographers every year.
For something a bit closer to home try La Duquesa, this quaint Manilva port is filled with yachts and pleasure boats and is surrounded by lovely restaurants that come highly recommended by the campers at Bella Vista. With a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, and just a short wander from the campsite it's a perfect getaway from the busy and more developed areas of the Costa Del Sol - a true Spanish escape.
If you’re up for exploring and don't mind heading off the beaten track you can still find Roman sulphur baths close by, perfect for a natural spa treatment. Enjoy a long soak in the sulphur rich water and follow in the footsteps of Julius Caesar who is said to have bathed there!
Not far from the baths is also the Canuto de la Utrera and the Charco del Infierno which are two spectacular walking routes. The first takes you into an incredible valley-gorge with limestone rock formations on either side, the other leads along the Rio de Manilva to a stunning waterfall and pool. Plus if you're feeling particularly adventurous you can even combine the two into a 8km long loop.
Both on land and off there's plenty to do, book scuba diving, a boat trip, go fishing, play tennis, explore the local area by bike or horse and take to the air with a paragliding lesson. You're never far from your next adventure at La Bella Vista!
After all these activities, sightseeing days and experiences you will be undoubtedly (and deservedly!) craving a relaxing afternoon coupled with a glass of something fruity. Luckily there is also a thriving wine industry in the area, and with guided tours of local vineyards and the wine production process available you’ll soon be swirling and sniffing like a pro!
